From strategies to practices: Cybersecurity-2026 Forum

Security Lab specialists actively participated as speakers in the largest industry event, the Cybersecurity 2026 forum, which was held on November 20 at the BelExpo National Exhibition Center. The event was dedicated to developing strategies to counter the growing and increasingly complex cyber threats.

In the section "Industrial and hardware-software cybersecurity", Siarhei Sudakou, the technical director of the company, in his report "Belarusian cryptography on guard", spoke about the history of encryption development - from the origins of the direction to current trends in this field, conducted a detailed analysis of the use of cryptographic methods in modern conditions, existing methods of attacks on algorithms and supply chains; presented forecasts, opportunities and prospects of using Belarusian data encryption methods to protect confidential information of a modern user.

During his speech, the Technical Director announced the launch of a new Security Lab product based on open source – OpenVPN|BY – a linear encryption tool that ensures confidentiality and integrity control of information during its transmission – an absolutely free user protection tool with Belarusian cryptographic algorithms. OpenVPN|BY is currently undergoing certification, but it will be available to users in the near future.

Aliaxander Prakapovich, Head of the Security Lab Cybersecurity Monitoring Center, spoke on the topic "The Future of SOC: trusted technologies, automation, and people" at the Cybersecurity Strategies and Architecture 2026 stream. The speaker presented a vision for the long-term development of the information security landscape, emphasized the role of SOS analysts in building protection against threats, reflected the importance of reducing financial and reputational risks for companies, focusing the audience's attention on the relevant Security Lab initiative "Cybersecurity for All", which allows users to systematically solve information security problems without financial costs on their part.

Stanislau Krauchuk, Head of the Department of Highly Loaded Systems, and Pavel Stetsyuk, Deputy Head of the Cyber Incident Response Center, described successful cases in their presentations at the Practice and Tools for Specialists section and provided the audience with applied tools and techniques for building honeypot networks and investigating incidents using open-source tools that specialists can immediately implement into their work.. During the presentation, our speakers highlighted the specifics of using cyber fraud tactics in their own infrastructure and the infrastructure of customers in order to implement proactive protection methods and increase the security level of the infrastructure, thereby helping businesses to build an adaptive and maximally effective security architecture today.

During the round table "Cybersecurity 2026: customer expertise, regulatory capabilities, and the role of integrators," Deputy Director and Head of the Central Design Bureau Sergey Stetsyuk actively participated in the discussion on the importance of the role of integrators in conjunction with customer expertise and regulatory capabilities, emphasized the importance of consolidating the efforts of all parties to achieve stable resistance to cyber attacks, and also outlined the practical value of effectively well-organized work in the formation of a secure digital ecosystem of the future.

All the presentations provoked a lively response, confirming the reputation of the Security Lab as a center of expertise in the field of information security. Feedback from the audience showed a high interest in our proposed approaches and solutions.
